Near Death Experience

How would you feel when all you get was a big bully, clenching his fist, chasing after you?

How would you feel when you knew you couldn’t escape from those violent punches and kicks that you were about to get because there was nobody around to protect you and to give you salvation?

How would you feel when you were cornered by this sadist on a wooden platform in the middle of the oceanic zone?

Desperately, you jumped. Holding on tightly to the wooden structure below, you knew if you let it go, the result would be fatal. The waters below were veiled in darkness and you wouldn’t know what awaited your presence down there.

Not giving up, the bully brought buckets and buckets of water, trying to flush you down into the ocean below. The waters that came down irritated your eyes but you had to hold on the the balak wood tighter than before. Struggling to survive, you forced your eyes to open and you seek a shelter.

Looking around with your half-opened eyes, you found one that was a blind spot to that bully above. As if you were a monkey, you held on to the complex structure and swung yourself. It was as though Lord had given you His strength, you finally got yourself sheltered.

After various attempts, that bully finally put a halt to his sadistic torments. You were relieved but anxious at the mean time because without any help, it was almost impossible to get yourself back to the wooden platform above. Shivering inside, you silently prayed. All you could think of and hope for was miracles to happen.

At last, your prayers were answered. You heard footsteps from above and from the bottom of your lungs, you yelled for help. The footsteps faded and stopped right above you. You saw a face through the rift of the wooden ground above and you waved. The voice of the person soothed your heart right from the bottom.

With the help of a rope, you were pulled up. Reaching the top, you were thankful! Everything around you became so wonderful and beautiful. Nature itself has become a sacred sanctuary. From that day onwards, you began to appreciate life more than before. Possessions you never would greed for more.  Friendship became a blessing to you as you learned to value everyone that has entered your solitary life.

Because of that bully, you changed..
