Kiss The Rain

Back when the Fall semester was still on, I told some of my friends about the song “Kiss The Rain” played by Yiruma. It’s a very nice song that I did not hesitate to learn. I started playing the song day and night before I began to master it.

I put some expressions into it and strived to make it sound perfect. It wasn’t easy, trust me. The days I took to make it sound right were definitely way more than those I took to learn the song. Apart from that, it’s very hard to play expressively in front of the camera. OMG!

So as promised, I’m dedicating this song to a friend of mine. *It goes with the poem I gave you* Hope you like it.

Scarlet

Few months ago, I had my mom bought me a new piano because the one I had was really really bad. The sound wasn’t nice and I dislike the piano keys. Actually I just wanted a Yamaha piano. =)

So after getting the new piano, I started learning this song called Scarlet. A REALLY NICE SONG!

At first, I was using this piano sheet transcribed by Althea Chia. There wasn’t anything wrong with the piece, just that it’s arranged for beginners. The simplicity of the piece made it sounded different from the original song. I wasn’t pleased.

I went through all the hassle, rummaging through sites in search for a better one. At last! I found this piano sheet arranged by Noir1453. However, that piece wasn’t perfect. So I combined both pieces into Sean’s piece. =) Thank you.

So Close

Many of you might not know that I play the piano, but I do play the piano. I started since I was 3, stopped for 2 years when I was 8. Jumped a few grades to catch up with my friends, and finished grade 8 before SPM.

I continued to the diploma level during the first year of my college life but put it to a halt after 6 months. I realized that college was taking up too much of my time and I was not all up for practicing the piano every single day. I stopped playing ever since. Until a few weeks ago, I stumbled upon a wonderful song, “So Close” while I was watching Enchanted. It gave me the motivation and inspiration to play again. So this is it, I do hope all of you enjoy the song and my playing! =)

Disclaimer: I wasn’t playing at my best so expect some petty mistakes here and there. If you think this video is a fake, I can always perform live, with most preferably a Yamaha piano! And with the piano scores of course, because I suck at memorizing pieces. =) One last thing – if you expected me to sing and not play, that’s just too bad because I don’t do youtube singing!

Taylor Swift or Jon Schmidt

I somehow find some of Taylor Swift’s songs repulsive and I couldn’t seem to be able to figure out the justifications for it. Maybe part of it was due to my sister’s previous addiction for her songs, especially “Teardrops on My Guitar.” She would repeat it over and over again, hum and sing the song with or without the earphones plugged into her ears. You wouldn’t want to have a first-hand experience on that because it’s far more worse than just “Drag me to Hell!” It’s more of “Drag me to the Lowest Level of Hell – FINALE (Burn and Die and never come back up kinda thing)!”

Taylor Swift became more of a disaster than a singer to me. Whenever her songs were being aired, I would definitely reach for the buttons or knobs. Yes, she turned me right off!

So this day, my sister beseeched me to download a video from Youtube. Previously, I told her my computer could download videos from that site because of the Download Helper I installed in my notebook. I agreed to give her a helping hand until I saw what she was planning to do, my mind blasted off to a 180 degrees change! The title says, “Love Story (Taylor Swift)!” I was wondering, why on earth does she want to download the video when I don’t see any necessities to it? It just peeved me because I’ve heard enough of that song already!

Well, I re-considered helping after she told me this one would be way different from the MV of Love Story. Indeed! The whole video, I must admit, was mind-blowing! Jon Schmidt was so awesome that my entire anatomy was tingling with excitement and I had Goosebumps all over my hands throughout the 8 minutes video! It was just so overwhelming! Just listen to it if you are a music-lover! No regrets!

Whenever Jenny Returns..

Ever heard of the restaurant – Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant and Market? It is a seafood restaurant as the name implies, inspired by the 1994 film “Forrest Gump.” A picture would help.

I’m certain that most of you have already gone bored and tired of hearing it, or even dined there. But, if you have not, you should stop your reclusive lifestyle and start gallivanting around PJ and KL.

There’s an outlet at the Curve and I heard that the food is delectable. Thinking of it, I might be salivating every single night from this very day until I get my mouth onto their food. 

That’s not the point I want to make anyway. It’s quite apparent that I have just finished watching Forrest Gump and here I am blogging about it.

It’s undeniably and inevitably an old old movie, but it’s quite touching and tear-jerking. At least, for me.

A good movie to watch if you are a good listener, and you have the patience to listen to stories. A good movie to watch if you have the slightest sympathy and empathy towards OKU to the extent that the OKU does not irritate or annoy you in any ways. A good movie to watch if you know the meaning of LOVE and you appreciate every single one you have. A good movie to watch if you are a sensitive person who loves touching stories.

A bad movie to watch if you show indefinite passion and affection towards arsenal, weaponry, blood shedding war, violence, and intense gun fights. A bad movie to watch if you are that kind of person who can’t help but interrupt when someone else’s is talking about their life-long experiences. A bad movie to watch if you couldn’t care less about your relationship with others and treat them as simply a passing thing. A bad movie to watch if you despise OKU and think that they are some useless, crippled ass that need to depend heavily on others to move on. Which basically means that you are a heartless, robotic, inhumane piece of shit that does not give a damn to the wonders of the world but yourself. And “selfish” says it all.

Every single moment when Jenny Returns plays in my mind, it somehow awakens all the poignant memories of mine. Tearing from inside, I felt weaken and fragile. I was about to tear at some scenes of the movie. Maybe I should watch a liter of tears, and cry my way through the day. Will consider watching it maybe during the semester break.
