* Thriller (Must Read!)

I was having this exciting, heart-pumping dream *seriously, the dream was like a thriller* in the morning. I was all set to depart from home, locking up everything and out of a sudden, I heard some screeching sound propagating from the back of my house. Out of curiosity, I peered into the house through the wooden window. At one glance, I saw a dark shadow imprinted on the tilt-turn window at the backyard. I was freaked out because the shadow showed a man with tools in his hand tip-toeing in a slouching posture (yes, just like what you would have seen in a classic cartoon). Obviously, he’s a thief.

Swiftly, I reached out for my handphone deep down in my right pocket. *Darn* It was not there. Recalling back, I left it on the dining table beside my laptop! I started to panic and fortunately, my neighbor was out in the porch, breathing in the fresh air of the night. I ran towards the fencing, sweat trickling down my forehead, I told them that there was a guy prowling in the grounds of my backyard. Without any hesitation and their consent, I climbed over the concrete fencing that combines both houses and asked if i could use their house phone to alert the police.

They gave me a blank stare, as if I was telling a joke. “It wasn’t April Fool, folks!” I shouted in my inner self. Couldn’t care less, I barged into their house and searched for the phone. Dialed 999 and waited super long for someone from the other side to pick it up! All efforts of mine proved futile after multiple attempts. I gave up and I swear there was a burning hatred towards the efficiency of Malaysia’s police in me at that moment. I wanted to protect my home from being invaded by unscrupulous people but there’s nothing I could do but panic.

It was a dream and that anything could happen. I climbed back over to my house, ran to the wooden door, unlocked everything and went back inside! It was truly an adventure for me. I managed to grab my phone before they prized open the back grill. I could have just escaped from the once home-sweet-home of mine but I didn’t. Instead, I ran up the wooden stairs to the second floor, making every single piece of wood squeaked as I go.

Hid myself before the towels, I started dialing 999 once again, hoping that the police would pick it up this time. While I focus on the sounds from the phone, I stared at the piece of mirror hanging on the wall of the staircase, understanding the situation below. I was almost at the end of my tether when finally, I heard a familiar notification from the other side of the phone, but I couldn’t speak. Because through the mirror, up came a man all dressed up in black suit. I froze…

At this very moment, someone called me and the song “Miss Independent” by Ne-Yo echoed instantaneously round the partially empty house. The unexpected call jolted me severely into action! I answered the call to stop all that’s causing the great noise and that blew off my cover and found out that Jeremy’s the one calling. Yes, you Jeremy CHOY! You spoiled my WONDERFUL DREAM!!!

p/s : Dear Readers, don’t blame me for bringing you right to the climax of my dream and hitting you right back into the deepest pit. I could continue this story if I have a great ending in mind. If not, I’ll just stop right here. Or you could share your thoughts with me, so that this dream could go on. (= Thank you for reading!

It was this outing that we planned a few days ahead! We wanted to meet up so that we could nicely organize/plan our holiday and not screw it all up at the very last minute like someone else and shove everyone into the Valley of Disappointment! Apparently, the outing went on smoothly, in fact, beyond expected, striking out the discussion part. Everyone arrived on time, except for me because of some unforeseen circumstances, sorry.

After I got thrashed by Jeremy and Calvin in pool, we headed off to ShihLin for some XXL Crispy Chicken! Affordable food plus funny conversations.

Jeremy : How do you view the analytics of your blog from nuffnang?

Me : Give me your password, let me help you to check.

Jeremy : No, thank you. I don’t TRUST you. I want to keep it as my privacy.

Moments later …

Jeremy : *Holds the glass of soya bean* Cheers for our friendship.

Me & Calvin : =.="

Bought the 3.30 pm tickets for X-Men, then headed off to Chilis for some snacks. And man! All were so shocked to find out that that was my first time eating Chilis. Will try the mashed potatoes next time, Chloe! Promised. Chatted, chatted, chatted, drank glasses of Ice Lemon Tea, and munched thousand pieces of Nachos. *Burp* Imagine that! Felix joined us half-way through. Riz was supposed to meet us up, but couldn’t make it. )=

Went up to GSC and guess what had we found? Bryan with a whole bunch of tall guys. Haha. Moments later, Aaroni, Jiu Hwei, Qing Han, and Lenny appeared before the escalator. What a surprise! The whole gang was there, but in separate groups. Then we started blaming everyone for not inviting each other out until the time was forgotten. Luckily enough, we made it just in time for the movie.

X-Men Origins : Wolverine! Another must-watch Marvel movie. The stunts are awesome and some parts of the movie are just hilarious. *SPOILER AHEAD* Laughing and having Goosebumps throughout the movie. Anyway, Gambit stole the scene and grabbed the attention of the audience when he appeared. Many expected more stunts from him. I love the whole cool Matrix-style effect when he attacked Logan with the poker cards. Super awesome. And I love Logan’s “new” adamantium claws, although it already appeared in previous X-Men movies, but now that they’ve showed the origins of the claw, I learned to appreciate it more.

After gallivanting around for a moment, we decided to have our dinner at Sushi Zanmai. The food was okay, but the chat was great again! Then off we go to watch the fashion show and I got blown away by the singer of the night, Ning Baizura! I thought she was going to sing a Malay song but guess what? She sang a Cantonese song and her voice … I want it. Okay, her diction wasn’t very clear but what do you expect? She’s the limelight of the night! “Pang Yao – Jacky Cheung” was the song she sang.

Then it’s time to bid goodbyes to everyone. Calvin was supposed to go to Kelana Jaya with me but somehow, he preferred taking the U82 bus. So, I waited alone at the bus stop. Bored and I dozed off. Waking up a few minutes later to find everyone who was sitting around me missing. Dude, did I just missed the bus?

It’s almost a week now since the ADP department officially announced it’s first semester break of the year. Us ADP students parted our ways, make full use of these 3 weeks to do the things we like and to separate ourselves from the “hectic” life of college. At times, we arranged outings so that we could have fun together.

I guess, what we really miss now are the times we had together where we gather round at KPDE level 1, playing the one and only game that united ADP, Cho Dai Dee. Not even a week of holiday has gone by and I believe that we are already itching to get back to college and get the game started. Well, if you are dying of boredom at home and you just can’t wait to hear the ecstatic cries of joy from our very own CDD members, do consider looking up or clickLook UP! as it might change your current mundane life. =)

Or if you are just too lazy to scroll up to the top, there’s an upward-pointing arrow just like the one above on the bottom right-hand corner of this lovely page. Click on it and you’ll be transported straight back up!

Yes! There’s a “CDD” tab above, in which if you click on it, it’ll link you to Viwawa. Viwawa is a sort of online gaming site where you could meet up with players all around the world to play. The site offers such games as our ADP favorite pastime CDD game, Mahjong, Sushido, Stwack, and you name it. It’s really fun and addictive because through that site, all CDD members could gather round in a little room and play our hearts out without being interrupted by any “HELP Authorities.” With Viwawa, you won’t feel alone because our spirits live on there.

Some of you critical thinkers might think that playing without seeing each other would not be as fun. Hey, here’s where the famous online chatting program, Skype comes into play. Signing in to Skype and holding a conference call with 3 others, you can actually play CDD with them in Viwawa and chat as normal in Skype. Isn’t that wonderful and brilliant? The joy and laughter you miss would be played to you through the speakers of your computer and at the same time, as you talk through the microphone built-in or connected to your computer, others would be able to hear you well.

Why not put a halt to your day-dreaming and sign up to Viwawa now? Set a meeting place in Viwawa and kill a day with the game you really crave for.

However, there are some drawbacks you have to take into account. The rules of Big 2.5 in Viwawa may not be exactly the same with the rules that we usually conform to. Triples are not allowed as Viwawa only permits 1,2 or 5 cards on the table. Bare in mind that Viwawa allows its players to end with 2s except for the Big Dee, which is the 2 of spades

. Besides that, straights A, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are allowed in the game. The last thing you have to consider is that do not hold any 2s in your hand when someone wins, because that might lead to a heavy penalty on your experience points. Yes, your character will level when you collected a certain number of experience points.

Now that I have given you enough advices, go and indulge yourself in that game!

Joke Of The Day!

I’m supposed to be updating my blog with dozens of entries, but I’m too preoccupied editing my blogskin. Did I tell you that it’s HARD to find nice blogger templates? You’ll end up spending God-knows-how-many-hours, searching and browsing for a suitable one. Changed it, get bad comments about it, and here we go again. The cycle goes on and on and on, and you’ll never get satisfied with it. Slowly, it turns into obsession. You’ll be stuck right before your computer, having a great desire in mind to find a cool skin for your blog to impress others.

I changed my blogskin a multiple times since finals and I finally got myself settled on one. I wonder how long will this blogskin last. Hope it’ll be forever but that would be impossible. Who cares, many loves it now. Do you guys remember the JEANs template? Well, I get comments from different people with different perspectives and mindsets.

Here are the feedbacks I got regarding the previous JEANS blogskin I used:

  1. OMG! Your skin is awesome!
  2. I love this skin better than your other skin *The skin I’m using now*
  3. I like brighter skin and I don’t really like this.
  4. Not nice lar the design for your blog … Jeans wtf? *Edwin*

These totally contrasting feedbacks had put me on the horns of a dilemma, forcing me to burn up all the leftover midnight oils from finals in order to search for a better looking skin. I don’t even remember how many times have I typed in the blog list every single time I change my blogskin. What a tiring and exhausting process. Anyway, I’m quite satisfied with my blog right now, seeing that so many people had left good comments about it. (= Thank you very much. Joel Comm Okay, I was digressing all the way since the start of the entry. Shall return to main purpose of this entry. What’s the joke of the day? =)

*********************************************************************************************************************************

There was a bunch of college students sitting in a circle, chatting and gossiping about their life, studies, and whatever topic they could think of. After sharing their romantic love life among themselves, they started talking about education. Which university would be their primary choice, when will they transfer, and how will they cope with the local environment abroad.

Then one of them asks, “Do you know why all students who are planning to transfer and whom already transferred to UK and abroad are all majoring in Law?” Distinct and weird replies followed as rejoinders to the questions. None of them got it right. Out of frustration, everyone impatiently asked for the right answer.

“Well, the answer is simple,” the person who questioned the crowd spoke. “Think of it in a Malaysian context!” he continued. Everyone began to dig their hands into their hair and started scratching it vigorously. *Thinking deeply* Again, none could get the accurate answer into place.

Now, It’s time for the person who provoked the question to get ants in his ass. Can’t wait no longer, he blurted out, “What would be the reply if you were in UK and you asked a Malaysian about their purpose being there?” Their answer would be simple, “STUDY LOR!” Lor and Law are homophones! =)

Lame, but that’s the way a joke should be.

*********************************************************************************************************************************

Speaking of accents and slangs, I found this joke on the one of the shirts sold in Central Market. The former US president George Bush was having a small chat with China president Mao Zedong. As the chat went further, both presidents started talking about the politics of their respective country. George Bush, out of curiosity, asked president Mao, “When do your country hold the general election?” Without the least hesitation, president Mao replied, “Every morning!” *He thought Bush was asking about his erection* =.=

Surprise Treat

It’s the time again where we turn into nocturnal animals, staying up till late at night and reluctant to get our asses out of bed although the scorching sun is already half way through its journey to the west.

Disclaimer: Of course, I don’t intend to stereotype here.

This morning, just like all other mornings, I muted the alarm the second it started ringing and went straight back to sleep. I even dreamt about myself waking up at 5 in the evening. I ended up waking at 2, and missed my lunch! Descending the wooden stairs, I felt so restless and wondered, how am I going to spend the first day of my semester break.

Sat down in front of my computer and here I go again. Changing blogskins, blogging, MSN. You tell me! What other things can I do other than this? But who knows, something BIG awaits me. It was 4.15 pm, 2 hours after I had awaken, I was told to get myself prepared because my dad is treating me Japanese buffet at StarHill! Yup, Jogoya it is!

I’m sure many of you have definitely heard of Jogoya. The name had left indelible marks on our mind because it was once the gossips of everyone in the streets KL and PJ. The great promotion it offered and the food it served were so appealing that throngs of people “fought” among themselves to get a reservation. People were and are so willing to get in the long queue just for the sake of getting a first hand experience dining in that restaurant. Reservations were so hard to get and had to be made in advance that if you were able to book a table, people ENVY you.

Getting a parking spot in KL is difficult because of the limited space and driving an MPV up the parking lot is almost impossible. The lanes are so narrow that I think an anorexic person would encounter difficulty when walking through it. Finally we managed to find a space near the top of the building. The '”Pamper” zone. It’s a wonder who came up with all the funny names. Muse, Relish, Pamper, Explore, Adorn, Indulge, Pear, Lime, Kiwi, Olive, what do those names imply actually? *shrugs*

Upon reaching the entrance to the restaurant, all I could see were people lining up in zig-zag. The wait was long because their administration wasn’t efficient at all. We had this man who was in his mid-50s queuing in line just like others behind me and my dad. That man brought along his daughter and sons, who were all nicely dressed up. We thought he had a reservation just like anyone else but when it was his turn, I couldn’t help but overhear him talking to the receptionist.

Yes, he was a walk-in customer and due to reservations, there was not a single table left for him and his youngs. Within seconds, he was in a great dispute and commotion with the receptionist, arguing over the matter for not having to inform him about the bookings, causing him to waste his time waiting in line for so long and later telling him that he’s not going to get a table. It’s bad eavesdropping. I could see that he tried his best to get a table for his children so as not to disappoint them.

Unfortunately, the receptionist insist that they would only attend first to customers with reservations. Unless there’s a last minute cancellation, only he would be able to dine in. So, people out there who don’t know about this, please do make a reservation if you plan to dine in at Jogoya, or you’ll end up like the man here.

Getting into the restaurant, one might feel overwhelmed by the number of diners and the amount of food served. However, after circling around, I later found out that there were not much food. I ended up eating Unagi, Salmon and other raw fish, dozens of Salmon and Unagi rolls, raw oyster, and some other miscellaneous food for my main course. Drinks? I drank 6 of the sweet coconut. Desert? Nothing could be compared with the delectable Hagen Daz ice-cream! Yummy. To sum it all up, my stomach was like an aquarium after the buffet.

After 2 hours plus of inexorable eating, I could barely walk. Just kidding. After gallivanting around Pavilion for a moment, we headed back home with a filling stomach.

p/s: Jogoya is not a worth eat because the food choice is limited. It’s okay to try it though.

Keeping To The Tradition

Wei Guan It was last Saturday when I received a message from my dearly friend, Wei Guan. I was extremely thrilled upon receiving that message because we are going out to YumCha again! In a quick glimpse, a month just flew right through without us noticing it. And yes, we were all dumb-founded to know that the last time we hang out was already one month ago. Wow.

But I was not all hyped up then because I was busy preparing for the coming finals. The whole finals thing just blew up my bubbles. I’m glad the plan went on smoothly. This time, we went to “My Kitchen” in Aman Suria for some chicken rice balls! The food was … okay, not too bad but not too good. And the only apparent reasons for not having any customers except us tonight was because the place was quite secluded? Seeing that the food was moderate.

After returning home from college at 7, I rested for awhile before departing from home at 7.30. Dropping my sister off EduSmart, I went straight to Kelana Jaya LRT station to pick Wei Hoong, Sam and Li Foong up. Okay, I’m speaking as though I’m the one driving. FYI, my father’s the one driving. They just came back from college and as usual, Wei Hoong and Sam were all dressed up in formal suits, making us all feel underdressed.

Then, we headed off to Aman Suria. Upon reaching, we were looking left and right, not for the shop but for a bakery. We decided to buy a birthday cake for Wei Guan so that we could celebrate her birthday, which is 2 days later on the 27th of April!

Li Foong, Sam, and Wei Hoong were planning to give Wei Guan a BIG BIG surprise by hiding the cake in my car because they thought I was driving. Haha. Sorry for letting you guys down. The cake ended up being hidden in Han Quan’s car. Not much of a difference there. And I was tricked by Wei Hoong’s cunning move when he pretended to receive a call from someone “personal” so that he could get out of the shop and take the cake from Han Quan’s car after we finished our dinner. Drama King~

Wei Hoong mysteriously walked out of the shop with his phone in his hand and warned us not to eavesdrop on him. To me, that was a brilliant move because I was caught right in his trap. I wonder if Wei Guan saw through his motives.

Anyway, the cake with lighted candles was brought in to the shop. Haha. It was too windy that the candles were all blown out before Han Quan managed to present it to Wei Guan.  Dear Wei Guan was so surprised and embarrassed that she looked away from the cake. So I believe she missed out that moment. Smart waitress switched off the fan for us and Han Quan lit the candles back.

However, we still had to protect the candles because it was windy outside and the wind was gushing in like crazy. We sang a birthday song for Wei Guan and all you could see were the smiles carved on her lovely face. Sweet moment. It was not that embarrassing after all because we were the only ones in the shop.

After Wei Guan blew out all the candles, here comes the moment of truth. We forced her to pluck out all the candles with her mouth. She was fortunate as we did not push the candles right to the bottom. So it was easy task for her but for the last candle, Wei Hoong pushed it all down. She was all chocolaty after pulling it out! Enjoyable moment! And yes, we bought her a chocolate cake. And that’s the end of our YumCha! Hope to see you guys soon.

We took quite a lot of the same picture to get a perfect one! Haha!

Lost Track of Time

I wonder what got into me this semester. Tapeworms?

I did so well in all my course assessments but yet, I never fail to screw up everything during the finals. This is the very first time I found myself in the midst of giving up on my studies. Every time I open up the book, I felt like flipping it through, trying to take in as much information as possible with just a glance, and close it back.

I remember the times when I was so highly-spirited that I lit up the oil lamp and stayed up until 4 just to finish up everything. Now, I realized I was as lazy as a ship in the doldrums. I couldn’t concentrate on my studies, got distracted by MSN chatting half-way through and blogging. Have I lost interest in my studies? I never stop wondering. Tropical

While I was reading Biology the other day, before I could even cover half the 1st chapter, my mind strolled off. I turned to the computer and clicked on videos, and watched how Michael Jackson dances. And damn, he’s good at dancing! I didn’t know that he’s that good until that day.  Animals

After wasting so much time on Michael Jackson, I wasn’t contented. Clicked on “related videos” and I found something real INCREDIBLE that popped my eyes. This robot dancer from “So You Think You Can Dance,” whom I didn’t know about his presence, danced like an alien. How I wish I could dance like him. Did I already say he’s awesome?

So it was 3 in the morning already and I haven’t even cover half of what I should study. Instead of switching off the laptop and get my ass started, I decided to hit the sack. Reminiscing about it, I couldn’t help but wonder again, “was that really me?” Never mind. What was indeed me was that I decided to wake up early the next morning so that I could catch up what I’d missed the previous night. ]

Alarm rang the next morning. Miraculously, I woke up, but only to stop the alarm and shoved myself back under the warm blanket. Alas, I woke up “officially” at 10 and I was panicking and struggling throughout the morning. Lunch time arrived and I wasn’t hungry although I hadn’t eaten my breakfast.

Then it was 4. I sat down in the exam hall. What laid in front of me was a piece of question paper, which I later found out that I couldn’t answer most of them with certainty. Instantaneously, I felt disappointed with myself. If there lays a knife along with the paper, I would stab myself a thousand times with it.

Swiftly, 2 hours passed before me. I handed in the paper but there wasn’t any sense of freedom that I could feel. So, this day is just like other ordinary days for me, not a day to feel extremely exhilarated about.   Blogging

Since it’s after finals and I have 3 weeks of holiday, I shall get back to the blogging business once again. Please bear with me because I have loads of overdue posts piling real high up. So, don’t be surprise if you see more than 2 entries per day.

Specially Written

We shall march forward and focus on the pathway ahead of us and never we shall turn our heads to look back.

Squatting at a dark corner of your room and staring into the blank space above, you might be grieving and wailing over something you lost, something you thought you had grabbed it firmly in your hands but you were wrong. The thing you were so confident of possessing just slipped through your un-tighten grip. Wind blew, your hopes went along with it and vanished.

What you just missed might be something of sentimental value, something precious, or it might be some unnecessary desires to quench your insatiable “thirst.” Your love ones might have just said “Let’s part our ways!”, and there goes your 2 whole years of dating. You might have just busted your papers, made thousands of silly mistakes when you shouldn’t have, couldn’t have, and never thought you would have. Mend This Broken Heart

Your feelings might be at the apex when some misfortunes, something unpredictable just brought it down. *Whoooosh* It just plunged into the deepest valley on earth and disappear into the veil of darkness below  that never could you find it again.

You might be overwhelmed when you got your grades back because at one glance, all you could see are straight As without a single B. Because of that mere glance, you later realized that the name on it wasn’t yours. After searching up and down for the paper with your name written on it, your feelings plummeted. The result was not what you expected and the grades contrasted with the previous one tremendously. The temporary false excitement you had just made matters worse.

Whatever the heart-breaking incident was, it’s time for us to stand up once again and get out from the dark, down corners of our life into the light with a highly-spirited heart. We shall march forward and focus on the pathway ahead of us and never we shall turn our heads to look back. Of course, there are times where we should refer to our past experiences so as not to repeat the mistakes that we made. Hiro Nakamura

All that had happened, had indeed happened and that’s undeniably the fact, the truth that could never be altered and rewound. Since the truth would be “stagnant” just like a clogged up ditch, instead of trying to make it flow like before, why not build another newer and flawless one? Bear in mind that truth will be the same after years, decades, and even centuries. But, we change as years gone by. We grow up into more matured being as we absorb and learn lessons in life.

It doesn’t matter no more what had happened because you know deep down in your heart that to correct it was definitely out of your capability. So why not just leave the past behind and strive to do better in the future in order to compensate and make up for the things you’d unintentionally let go that day?

I believe you would feel much better then. Smile always (:

p/s : I promise to make the Genting trip a success!
